My Story
I did not come to this work through a textbook. I came through experience - through years of overnight shifts with newborns, through operating my own daycare center, through sitting with exhausted parents at 3 in the morning and knowing exactly what to do and why. That is the kind of knowledge you cannot manufacture, and it is the foundation of everything Luxe Nanny Co was built on.
My career in childcare began many years ago. Long before the term "newborn specialist" existed, I was doing this work - learning the rhythms of newborn sleep, understanding how to read cues that most people miss, developing the kind of calm that comes only from having navigated thousands of early mornings and late nights with families in the most vulnerable weeks of their lives.
Over the past decade, I have focused specifically on newborn care. I became a certified newborn specialist to formalize what I had built through experience, and I have dedicated that expertise to helping families in the DC metro area and beyond navigate the first weeks and months with confidence rather than fear.
I founded Luxe Nanny Co because I kept meeting the same family: educated, thoughtful, well-prepared for everything that comes before birth - and completely blindsided by what came after. They had read the books. They had taken the classes. And they were still exhausted, anxious, and unsure at 2 in the morning. I built Luxe Nanny Co to bridge that gap.
